Hsin-Yao Tseng, was born in Taipei Taiwan in 1986. He was born to be an artist. Around the age of ten, he started painting in watercolors, as well as other mediums, out side of school. The early exposure instilled in him the foundation needed to excel at very early age.
He is currently studying at the Academy of Art University, San Francisco, majoring in fine art painting. The subjects of his works usually include landscapes, figures, and still-life’s; using bright color and expressive brush-strokes to indicate his subjects. His dedication and interest in the arts is apparent from over ten years of hard work and academic studies.
Tseng has won several awards at the Academy of Art University Spring Show, made top finalists at the Art RenewalCenter 2008/2009 Salon, top 50 in Salon International at the Greenhouse Gallery, earned Second Place in the Artist's Magazine's 25th annual contest- Portrait/Figure, and Third Place in the International Artist Magazine (June/July 2008). Tseng has also been showing paintings in Waterhouse Gallery, in Santa Barbara and Wendt Gallery, in Laguna Beach. His dedication and passion for painting has never been stronger as he continues to paint and think outside the boundaries.
